"Long White Beach"

Dear Reader,

it was only until our first breakfast that a smart seller approached us with a hardly reproachable offer of a half-day trip to a nearby "long white beach". Assuring that we had fins and snorkeling gear we explored the great turquoise waters and said hello to the little Nemos in the Indonesian corals reefs. Sadly, anybody with open eyes had to notice that local fishermen had been using dynamite to get some better returns from nature in the short run. Seeing their substandard living I could see their reasoning. On the other hand, hoping for more tourists (to be attracted by untouched beautiful coral reefs) and fishing with dynamite are not well combined. There is still plenty of education to be shared.

After all these thoughts about nature and sustainable human behavior, we were still capable of fully enjoying the sunset from our hotel's white sun-bed (see last pictures).

I wish for you to be able to do the same, no matter how big your worries or stress might be,

warmest hugs,

Mat
