Bordercrossing over the Andes

Dear readers,

I hope my sunny mountain pass pictures find you very well. When you are in Santiago and plan to cross over to Mendoza in Argentina, be sure to check the weather beforehand, since you will be going high into the Andes over lots of curvy roads. We were lucky to have had such a sunny and crystal clear day, enjoying the snow-covered mountain tops as we passed them almost on eye level. When we finally saw the Argentinian flag at the other side of the road, we liked how nicely it blended in with the blue sky and white snowcaps.
